Good evening,
You all need to realize that each artist has his/her own place. Whose voice is better is a matter of personal taste. But voice is not the only thing! You have to look at all aspects of the art: song composition, lyrics, music arrangement, performance, showmanship, diversity, contribution, dedication, giving back to community/country, and etc and etc.
Some Afghans are unfortunately very selfish and stubborn. They think that the artist they like is the best and everybody else in nothing without even considering the facts and reality out there.
I don’t know much about other afghan singers (no offense intended), but Mr. Darya is internationally known as one of the afghan best artist and the promoter of afghan cause, specially, orphan children. His efforts for helping afghan children are known to the world.. Just Google Farhad Darya and see how many hits you get!!!!
I hope no one take this personal! Please respect all of you artists; they are your national treasures.

Farhad Darya is a good singer, I don't think that any one has the right to put any other singer. He is an innovater but he has a big ego!!! When you are as famous as Farhad Darya you should act as a roll model and not as some one who is selfish! I have never heard him give credit to Ahmad Zahir. If it wasn't for Ahmad Zahir none of there singers after him the likes of Farhad or other would be known toda!

Hi everyone,
We should all respect Farhad for his love to his music and dedications to the art he loves. I personally find his lyrics and songs very meaningfull generally and overall pleasant. They are strong and can affect people in so many ways. I enjoy all of his songs. He is my favourite, but I must say that I also respect our other singers who sang for years and thaught us good in many positive ways.

I dnt know I liked the old Farhad Darya..this new hip farhad darya reminds me of one of my friends dad who trys to act all cool and hip..and YOUNG.... I liked the old Farhad who used to sing songs like Gulom Gulom..and Sanama... not this ..Salamalek Kabul...salamalek Somalia..salamalek San Francisco...PLZz..if you want to bring something cool and hip why not make something where your people can enjoy and dance to like Arabic..Not indian...this new rocker farhad darya is tooo much for me and now his concerts are 2-3 hrs for $50 a ticket OMG! Afghan concerts are not 2-3 hrs there atleast 5 hrs..like from 9-2..hes changed big time... If Ahmad zahir were alive he would never go this route...

i just wanna say that farhad jan is the best and i wish he read this cos i wanna add one thing for him. befor he was busy making good songs for himself and he used to sing alote of good songs and ghazals but now we have to wait for years for one album. farhad jan thats good that you help other singers as well but we want more to hear from you. i have got all of your albums and all of your majlesee and all of the songs even you sung at home probably. i have got the songs which never came out as a album and i call myself the luckyest one and i dont think anybody loves your voice like i do but this is not enough. we want more ghazals and more good songs like you used to sing in afghanistan. you have to change a bit now. think about yourself , think about the people who loves your voice and try hard to reliese at least 2 album in one year. do you think is it possible? i think all the afghans wants the same from you. Salam from Kazakhstan. I just want to say that Farhad Darya is not only the best singer. he also helping to kids at home Mashallah with project Kochah and Allah will reward him for that.
It is so difficult here to find his albums, but we always trying to find it, if he will have time to visit Kazakhstan and give some concerts, thats will be great for all, anybody will goes to his concerts cause knows that all will goes to that orphan kids at home. May Allah tahala will reward you with the uncountable sawaab Farhad Jaan.

farhad darya is the best person that i have seen. he is the only one person that we can say for him a real afghan.he can feel his people if each afghan has this felling about his or her people afghanistan wont be in this situition anymore i proud for you i love and always i pray for god that help you and you find power more than this and safe you also we have a rich country with resposible people. metra mehran
